Lifepath (UK) Results From September & October

Robert Austin - Thursday, October 15, 2009
Hello to our new Lifepath UK members. Here is a quick wrap of UK lead rotator results

September (Launch)

During September results were just under par. We count about 25 of 30 leads were supplied to each UK member during September. Which is less than 1 per day.

The main cause of this was our launch. During the first 12 days we trialed an officially branded lifepath landing page. Conversions from this page were below average ( not terrible, but not enough to supply 1 per day )

Anyway, after 12 days we flipped over to our generic ( home business finder ) pages and conversions improved.

Overall we feel the quality is acceptable.

October

October is running much better. we are hitting 1 lead per day and have had positive feedback from several members who have made sales. UK should remain stable now.

Lead Network Upgraded - Focusing On Quality

Robert Austin - Monday, August 17, 2009
We have been hard at work developing a new lead capture system and network of websites. This is our biggest effort to date and should improve lead quality but it will reduce lead volume. We have made an executive decision based on member feedback that improving quality is more important than delivering the stated lead volume.

We will be trialing this new setup across all member accounts for 1 week.
**** During this week all leads will be delivered directly to your email. ****

Lead Rotation Now Exact

Our new lead rotation software distributes leads evenly. the lead capture form will not move onto the next member until you reach you share for the the day.

More Detailed Lead Form

Our new lead forms looks like the image below. As you can see there are many extra fields. This is in response to members requesting address and comment information as part of their leads.

Lead Duplication Prevention

lead forms now prevent the same email address or phone number from being submitted more than once. We are also tracking the customers IP address so the same physical computer cannot submit more than once. This is beyond the industry standard for duplicate email prevention.

New Websites

Almost 70% of our traffic will now be directed through 3 new websites. These websites have Australian .com.au names and specifically market a home business opportunity. Feel free to review them yourself.

Please archive all of the leads you receive. At the end of the week I will be conducting a survey to evaluate lead quality/improvement as a real number. If you want better quality leads, your accurate feedback during this week is IMPORTANT.

Lead Volume Now Returning To Normal

Robert Austin - Monday, August 10, 2009
Hi Guys,

As some of you may have experienced. Lead volume was down last week. This was due to 2 things.

1) Worst week on Google ever.
2) Testing of 3 new websites focused on quality not quantity. Tests confirm, pre-qualifying people with startup costs etc... means leads costs WAY more.

However on Saturday we reverted to regular system ( with about 5,000 new keywords ) and lead volume started to increase and we are back on track. I expect you will all receive your set number of leads this week.

We are still testing the new website network. More information later this week.

Lead Quality Improvements & New Lead Sites Launched

Robert Austin - Thursday, July 30, 2009
HI everyone,

So I have been receiving alot of feedback for you guys ( which I do appreciate ) I've had several emails full of praise, people who are very happy with the system. On the other hand i've also had quite a few email from people who are receiving sub-par quality leads.

So I would like to cover these issues and the steps we are taking to deal with them. We are determined to offer the best value / quality leads possible.

Before I go into this I just want to remind you that for the price per lead you are paying, the quality of our leads is already far above average.

I checked another Australian lead websites today and their price per lead was about $14 a pop. Now these are not even real-time unique leads... Their leads are sold to 3 people and they are probably 15 - 30 day old leads and they are purchased from some junk survey site.

InnerCircle is actually quite a black sheep within the lead industry. We do not use ANY of the practices the other lead stores use and we still actually care about our product.

Now that is out of my system onto the matter at hand. Improving our lead quality even further.

The main issues we are facing that are affecting lead quality are below.

  • Duplicate leads. ( apparently )
  • Incorrect or dead phone numbers.
  • Indians and people from developing countries signing up.
Duplicate Leads

This is an isolated issue reported a few times over the last 2 months. I can assure you InnerCircle does not share leads. Our system does not duplicate leads. If you call someone and they have already been contacted it is because the prospect has gone to 3 - 4 websites and filled out forms everywhere.

Incorrect or dead Phone Numbers

Verifying phone numbers in real-time at the point of capture is currently not possible. It's probably fair to say, if they don't leave their phone number they arent really that interested anyway.
The best way to deal with this issue is to improve our landing pages and optimise our campaign. Both of which we are doing on a daily basis.

Indians!

No offense to indians, they are going to rule the world in another 10 years :) But yes the main complaint I am getting from members is Indians and other foreigners are signing up either looking for work or are simply not interested.

First of all. We are NOT targeting India ( god knows it would be dirt cheap ). We are only targeting Australia and New Zealand and sometimes the UK. Furthermore we are geo targeting a regional / state level. So in Google rather then target "Australia" as a country we are specifically geo targeting Queensland, NSW, Victoria etc. Quick insight into Google here... If you target at the Australian level an Indian based in India can still visit google.com.au and if they do a search, they can see your ad. If you target by state or regional level, they CANNOT ever see your ad unless they are physically inside Australia.

So we believe the Indians getting through are either a) coming from places other then Google ie: finding our sites through twitter. In which case they are FREE leads. b) they are Indians based in Australia on work visas. Several of you mentioned you had spoken with Indians from within Australia looking for "jobs" so this backs up my theory that the Indians are actually within Australia.

Ok so we've identified the problem. To deal with this issue we are updating our websites with several new warnings.

Here is the example we have placed next to the lead capture form.

Before You Register Please Read

  • This business opportunity is NOT open to people outside of Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, Canada, Germany and South Africa.

  • This is NOT a JOB. Startup costs are involved and you will be responsible for your earning potential.

So this should disqualify most of them.

New Websites

As part of our overall strategy to improve lead quality we are rolling out several new landing pages / websites.

Here is our first new site the 2 hour home business - www.2hourhomebusiness.com.au

  • Targets Australia/NZ only. Uses a .com.au domain to increase trust and authenticty with the Australian audience
  • Professional designed and branded website lends weight to the legitemcy of the home business offer. You wont see pictures of speed boats, the effiel tower or lamborgines here :)
  • Rather then lead with the earning potential ie: Make $23,459 a month! we have focused on presenting the business opporutinty with integrity.
  • NO LEAD CAPTURE FORM ON THE FIRST PAGE. OH MY GOD. Again this is to build integrity.
Now I can tell you straight away this website will generate about HALF the leads of our other lead capture pages. But we are confident the lead quality from this site will be really really good.

Lead Volume VS Lead Quality

Final words. It is very difficult to maintain a high volume of leads and also improve the quality to the level we see above. Obviously for my business to remain competitive with other companies I need to keep my price per lead to around $14. At the same time I want to elevate above and beyond these other crooks and actually deliver GREAT leads.

I guess what I'm saying is, bear with me over the next few weeks as I try to find the balance between a high volume of leads and lead quality. I am confident I can maintain and exceed the leads promised while improving the quality and cutting out the Indians!

Ok, over and out.

InnerCircle Reaches 50 Members

Robert Austin - Friday, July 24, 2009
InnerCircle has reached it's first milestone. We are now 50 members strong.

This is great news, because the more members we have in the system the better the results are. The more members we have, the more buying power we have with Google ( to put it simply ). This means higher CTR and in turn, higher quality score.

So welcome you to all our new members, and thank you to all our older members who are spreading the word.
